Review
Review Survey Question Wording
Review survey questions for clarity, neutrality, single-concept, specificity, and reading-level fit.
You are a senior MEAL specialist reviewing the wording of a set of survey questions. Focus on question wording only, not on response options, skip logic, instrument structure, or translation.
**SURVEY QUESTIONS TO REVIEW:**

**Review Requirements:**
1. **Clarity.** Flag questions that require rereading, contain nested clauses, use undefined acronyms, or rely on technical jargon the target population would not recognize.
2. **Neutrality.** Identify leading framing ('Don't you agree that...'), loaded terms, and social-desirability cues that nudge respondents toward a particular answer.
3. **Single concept.** Flag double-barreled questions that bundle two attributes, time periods, or subjects into one item (e.g., 'Are services timely and respectful?').
4. **Specificity.** Check that every temporal question states a reference period, every numeric question states units, and every question makes its subject explicit.
5. **Reading level and cultural fit.** Flag vocabulary, idioms, and concepts inappropriate for the literacy level and cultural context of the target population.
**Output Format:**
Produce:
1. A 1-paragraph overall assessment of question wording quality.
2. A question-by-question table for problematic items (item ID, dimension flagged, specific issue, recommended rewording).
3. A summary scored review by dimension (clarity, neutrality, single concept, specificity, reading level and cultural fit), with score 1-5 and recommendation.
4. A prioritized revision list (must-fix vs. should-fix).
5. A note on whether cognitive interviewing or a small pretest is recommended before the questions are finalized.
