Can I share this?
A quick guide to using and sharing M&E Studio resources.
Most resources use the M&E Studio Content License, our custom license for free content. This guide summarizes it. The full content terms control.
Can I use resources at work?
Yes. Use and adapt free resources for your work, your organization or clients. You can share them with colleagues and partners, including on a private shared drive. Give credit when sharing originals or adaptations.
Can I use them in paid work or training?
Yes. Charge for your services, teaching and completed client deliverables. Give enrolled participants relevant handouts, checklists or templates with credit and a source link, including in a private course space. Do not sell the resources or adaptations as standalone products, charge specifically for access, or distribute a pack that substitutes for our library.
Can I publish something I adapted?
You may publish an adapted and completed document for your organization or client, such as an adopted policy, plan or report, with credit. This does not cover publishing our original resource, a lightly edited copy or an adapted resource offered as a reusable template, library or competing product.
Can I post a resource publicly?
Share the original link. You may quote up to 150 words in total from one page, with credit and a link. That allowance does not permit posting a complete table, checklist, template, prompt, section or page, even if shorter. Finished organizational documents, translations and participant materials have the exceptions described here and in the Terms. Rights under fair use and other applicable law remain unaffected.
How do I give credit?
Use a visible source note, footnote or acknowledgments entry. Link to the original resource when possible; otherwise include our name and domain. Keep credit lines in downloads. Credit the material you used, rather than labeling an entire report as adapted from us.

Adapted material: Adapted from M&E Studio, monitoringevaluationstudio.com
Can I translate a resource?
Yes. Publish the translation free of charge, give credit, link to the original and include: “Unofficial translation. M&E Studio did not prepare or review it.”
Can I use resources with AI?
Yes, you may paste free content into an AI assistant for your own work. Search engines and AI systems may also read, index, quote and learn from it. Sharing or publishing our content or adaptations still follows the content terms.
What about Creative Commons or paid content?
M&E Studio has no open content yet. Only a resource explicitly marked CC BY 4.0 uses that license. It permits complete redistribution, adaptation and commercial reuse under its attribution and notice requirements. Read CC BY 4.0. Paid resources have separate restrictions in the Terms. Third-party material keeps its owner's terms.
For another use, request permission. Giving credit does not imply endorsement by M&E Studio.
