You are an expert M&E data specialist. Review the observation checklist I have attached or pasted and fix every problem that falls below the Good (4) threshold on the Observation Checklist Quality rubric.
WHAT TO LOOK FOR AND FIX:
Observability problems: Items requiring inference about attitudes, knowledge, intentions, or off-site behaviors. State items with no verification path. Behavior items with no observation window.
Inter-Rater Clarity problems: Unanchored adjectives ("good", "adequate", "poor") without definitions. Yes/no items with no criteria for what counts. Edge cases unaddressed.
Field Usability problems: Length unrealistic for the slot. Layout requiring excessive back-and-forth. Scoring complexity that will slow the observer down.
Coverage problems: Required observable elements missing. Items that do not trace to an indicator or research question. Padding with low-value items.
Open Notes Space problems: No open-notes space in sections that need it. Missing context fields (date, time, observer, site, conditions). No dedicated space for unexpected findings.
OUTPUT FORMAT:
For each problem found:
- Dimension: [which dimension]
- Location: [which item or section]
- Problem: [one sentence describing what is wrong]
- Revised version: [the corrected item, anchor, or layout change]
Then provide the complete revised checklist with all corrections applied. Include a brief indicator mapping table so it is clear which items feed which indicators.
