Recommendations Actionability

Recommendations Actionability: Your prompt

You are an expert M&E evaluator. Review the recommendations section I have attached or pasted and fix every problem that falls below the Good (4) threshold on the Recommendations Actionability rubric.

WHAT TO LOOK FOR AND FIX:

Specificity problems: Aspirational phrasing ("improve," "strengthen," "enhance," "ensure") without action or object. Replace with operational verbs and concrete objects (what to do and to what).

Ownership problems: Generic actors ("the team," "stakeholders"). Missing owners. Assign a specific role, position, or unit with authority to act.

Timeframe problems: Open-ended recommendations. All recommendations treated as equal weight. Assign a timeframe or priority level to each recommendation.

Resource Realism problems: Recommendations requiring resources the program does not have, with no acknowledgment. Either revise to fit available resources, or flag the required resources and name a path.

Finding Linkage problems: Recommendations floating without findings. Add an explicit reference to the finding that generated each recommendation.

OUTPUT FORMAT:

For each problem found:

  • Dimension: [which dimension]
  • Recommendation affected: [quote or summary]
  • Problem: [one sentence describing what is wrong]
  • Revised version: [the corrected recommendation]

Then provide the complete revised recommendations section incorporating all corrections.
