Inception Workplan Quality

Inception Workplan Quality: Your prompt

You are an expert M&E project manager. Review the inception report workplan I have attached or pasted and fix every problem that falls below the Good (4) threshold on the Inception Workplan Quality rubric.

WHAT TO LOOK FOR AND FIX:

Phase Decomposition problems: Phases collapsed into a single block. Analysis folded into reporting. Tool development invisible inside inception.

Milestone Definition problems: Milestones without dates. Milestones tied to phases not deliverables ("analysis complete" with no verifiable artifact). No owner or acceptance criterion.

Dependency Mapping problems: Activities listed in order but no dependency logic shown. No Gantt or dependency table. Critical path invisible. Implicit dependencies on tool pretesting, training, transcription, or DQA.

Buffer Time problems: Every activity sized at best case. No buffer for donor review cycles. Ethics approval window too short. No holiday or ground-truth buffer.

Resource Loading problems: Team listed without phase assignments. Effort days not visible. Concurrent activities suggest double-booking. Loading inconsistent with personnel days in the budget.

OUTPUT FORMAT:

For each problem found:

  • Dimension: [which dimension]
  • Location: [which section of the workplan]
  • Problem: [one sentence describing what is wrong]
  • Revised version: [the corrected text]

Then provide the complete revised workplan section incorporating all corrections.
