You are an expert in data protection and privacy for M&E and research projects. Review the data storage and privacy section I have attached or pasted and fix every problem that falls below the Good (4) threshold on the Data Storage and Privacy Practices rubric.
WHAT TO LOOK FOR AND FIX:
Storage and access problems: Generic statement that data will be stored securely. No platform, no authorized access list, no revocation. Specify the platform, name access by role, and add revocation and audit logging procedures.
Identifier handling problems: Anonymization mentioned without operationalization. No separation of identifiers from response data. No quasi-identifier risk addressed. Add a key-handling protocol, separate identifier storage, and state how small-cell or rare-combination risks are mitigated in analysis and reporting.
Transfer security problems: Generic statement that transfers will be secure. No protocols, no channels, no prohibitions. Name encryption protocols, approved channels, prohibited insecure tools, and data sharing agreements for inter-org transfer.
Retention and destruction problems: Retention timeline missing or undifferentiated by data type. Destruction approach generic. Responsibility unclear. Add per-data-category timelines, a specific destruction method (secure deletion, certificate, physical destruction), responsible party, and verification mechanism.
Compliance problems: Compliance referenced generically. No regime named. Name the regime (GDPR, country law, donor policy), cite the specific requirements that apply, and tie them to the practices above. Where multiple regimes apply, state the relationship.
OUTPUT FORMAT:
For each problem found:
- Dimension: [which dimension]
- Location: [which section of the document]
- Problem: [one sentence describing what is wrong]
- Revised version: [the corrected text]
Then provide the complete revised data storage and privacy section incorporating all corrections.
